With music, lights, good food, now looking forward to Valentine’s Day
After closing the shutters on the Wonder Market and wrapping up the decorations, Castelsaraceno is already ready for the new year. The grand finale of Epiphanies “Auspici sonori per un nuovo anno” (Sound wishes for a new year), which took place on 6 January, concludes the rich Christmas programme.
An atmosphere that is difficult to leave. This is why today we would like to propose a small journey back to remember this magical journey which has just taken place, accompanying us among the play of lights in the village and the Tibetan Bridge, lit up for the festivities. To the artists who took turns flooding the streets with their notes, but there’s more…

The rich programme that has just ended saw the celebration of the nativity tradition, thanks to the support of the Italian Association “Amici del Presepe”, curator of the exhibition that accompanied the entire festive period, and led to moments of sharing and growth, as in the case of the snack with the producers or the fantasy writing workshop.
Music, art and entertainment were essential companions in this itinerary: from the super closing event on 6 January to the rediscovery of the musical roots of these lands, to contemporary suggestions with guests of national and international importance.
Two exceptional faces wandered through the alleys of the “Borgo tra i due parchi”:
The well-known travel blogger Manuela Vitulli described her experience as follows: “Rarely have I encountered a community so strong and cohesive for the good of its country”. Manuela’s day was the perfect synthesis of Castelsaraceno: a mixture of culture, peace and adrenaline.
Then it was the turn of Gabriella Korchmaros, an up-and-coming but already very popular travel blogger (you can find her on Instagram and on TikTok under the nikname Whereyouneedtobe_), who described her adventure as follows: ‘We are often attracted by social media to want to travel to Instagrammable, fake and chaotic places. Today, on the other hand, I’m proposing an Italian village, hidden in the mountains to the point of looking like fairyland, but more real than ever. Castelsaraceno between wonder and adventure is the place where you need to go in 2022. Thanks to visit Castelsaraceno for letting me live these experiences”.

This story does not end, on the contrary, it continues and this winter will accompany us for a while longer, in fact the Outdoor Experiences continue for mountain lovers or simply for those who want to breathe the uncontaminated air of Monte Alpi and Monte Raparo, enjoying their magnificent views. Mtb and e-bike itineraries (with vehicle rental service), walks in the woods, in the centuries-old beech forest of Bosco Favino and trekking, such as the snowshoe hike on Monte Alpi. There is also Castelsaraceno on Ice, the skating rink where you can experience the thrill of gliding lightly on ice. An attraction suitable for everyone, especially families with children. Or, tasting experiences of Lucanian specialities or a Quad bike ride.
Valentine’s Day is coming up!
We are about a month away from the festival of lovers and Castelsaraceno “the heart-shaped village” is preparing to welcome all couples who want to give an emotion of love to their partner. We won’t reveal anything yet, but follow us to find out what we are doing!
